
SAUDI VISION 2030

Saudi Vision 2030 is a strategic framework to transform the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, reduce dependence on oil, diversify its economy, and develop smart public services in health, education, infrastructures, recreation, and tourism. The Vision sets directions, objectives, policies, and ambitions. 11 Programs and a series of initiatives are currently being implemented to achieve the Vision goals.
The Supreme Committee for Research, Development and Innovation (RDI), established on 30 June 2022, sets the national research, development and innovation priorities for the Kingdom.
4 RDIs priorities announced:
- Health and Wellness
- Sustainable Environment and Supply of Essential Needs
- Energy and Industrial Leadership, and
- Economies of the Future (NEOM and the Red Sea Project)
The Committee ambition is to achieve 2.5% GDP investment in research by 2040.
